We have the (free) ESX Server 3.5 Update 2. Recently the VI client started giving dumps when using the consoles. So I am looking at applying the latest patches. However all documentation / discussions refer to the update manager. I guess it is a plug-in to the client which is not showing up on our server.
Can someone confirm that the update manager plug-in is not included in the free version?
Are there any alternatives to applying patches? If so, a link to the step-by-step procedure will be greatly appreciated.
