How to know the difference between physical and virtual RDM

Hi !

How can i see if a RDM (RAW device) is physical or virtual?

Can i see it in the vmx file or easily somewhere else?

I have some servers running both VMFS and RDM's drives inside the VM's and when using ESX Ranger and doing a snapshot backup they are skipped from being backed up.

Thankful for an answer

When you edit the settings of the VM and select the RDM - it will have a radio button selected for the mode of RDM it is - it's really obvious. It'll either be selected for Physical or Virtual.
