How to enable a usb device on a vm server

Hi everyone,


Hope you can help.... I have a ESXi 3.5 hosting couple of 2k3 server. I would like to ask how to let the guest os identify my thumb drive? Is it ok to identify the thumb drive from my client PC, which has iSphere installed and connected to the ESXi?

i guess you can access the Thumb drive by putting your Vm in host only network and select the specific thum drive form your USB setting in the setting section of the VM(access the setting od VM and search for USB option)

Hi

No chance to force ESXi3.5 work with USB, basically the only option which I know is to play with USB over IP (google for USBAnywhere or USB over IP)
