How to change the IP/Gateway/Subnet Mask adress in ESX3.5 U2

Hi

i need to change the ip address of my existing ESX3.5 U2 .

Kindly let me know how to do it.

To get to the service console you need physical access to your ESXi host.

When you are in front of your ESXi you see something like „Download tools to manage this host from…“, press ALT+F1 and then blindly type 'unsupported'. Now you have your console and you can perform the commands pointed to by depping.

But it also works without this console if you know the root password. But this is only following instructions on the screen, when you are in front of your ESXi. You need to login as root and then you see some administrative menu, which also allows you to change IP configuration of your ESXi host.
