How to change SID & Hostname in Clone Virtual Machine

Hello All,

I am facing one issue. I have already make clone in proper running Virtual machine. After cloning the clone VM i have power on. That time name conflict and also sid same.

How to change the Clone Virtual Machine SID & Hostname? If any script it's available to change SID & Hostname......

Have you downloaded the SYSPREP files from Microsoft, and installed them on your VirtualCenter server?

If you want your VMs to be customized correctly when you deploy from template, you need to install sysprep on your VC server, as described above.

If you want a quick and dirty way to fix one VM right now, you could use the newsid utility, which you can download from here .
