Hardware Health status on a Dell 2900

I have a dell 2900 , today the hardware health became yellow..

Below is the screenshot of what I get, are there some problems with my battery?

you should install OMSA and check it from the OMSA directly to double confirm

it doesn't look good indeed, start with restarting the management agent of ESXi, if the error is still their download a Dell Diagnostic CD and see what happens...

Same thing here.. only with a 1950. I believe the Raid controller has a battery that periodically recharges.

yes, think i can confirm that, the light is green again, and it says fully charged.

This is a normal behaivour for DELL Servers which have RAID Controllers with BBUs. All DELLs in our cluster do this once a week.

  • periodically recharges

  • learning curve (Same like APC do from time to time)

If you check the OMSA at the same time you'll see a msg in the logs about this event.
