Hardware Compatibility

Hi,

I have an IBM x3650 M2 - which is on the HCL, but the processors are not. The processors are the new Nehalem Processor Intel E5500 series. Can anyone confirm this is a supported System?

If the processor are not on the HCL, then they are not supported.

If they work, thats another question....

That begs the question, how often do they update the HCL when new processors are introduced?

To be exact: Nehalem is on HCL. IBM x3650 M2 with Nehalem is not yet on HCL.

I think there will be no problems.

The Nehalem processors are listed on the HCL as Intel Xeon 55xx Series which covers the E55xx and X55xx processors available with the x3650 M2's.
