HP insight manager agent showing no data - system model unknown

I have just installed HPSIM agent 8.2 on a HP ML350 g5 and I'm not getting any data from it.

I've compared the SNMP settings with a esx server that IS working (although it has an earler version of the agent)

I've checked the firewall ports are open

Other than trying the previous version, I can't work out why its not working.......

Please check the status of hp-ipmi driver and hp health agent process.If it is not started, try to start it manually.

Hope you are not using ESXi.

  1. /etc/init.d/hp<tab>

You should see hp related services, give "status" as an option, check what does it show.

Hi

No I wasn't using ESXi

I ended up installing an updated version of the system management homepage (v3.0.2.77) and the agent data now appears.

The management agents were actually working correctly.
