I was running a backup on Debian Linux runnin on my ESX 3.5. Suddenly I noticed that the server had gone suspended. I tried to start it but it keeps giving me Unexpected signal 11. The VMWare.log file pretty much gives me that much info.
http://msg.log.error.unrecoverable VMware ESX Server unrecoverable error: (vmx)
Oct 20 20:55:07.247: vmx| Unexpected signal: 11
Any idea what caused this? And are my other Debian server at risk?
Is your VMFS volume full?
Not in this case. There is over 100 GB free space left in the datastore. I contacted HP for support. Unfortunately Debian is not supported OS in 3.5.
Hah, it's till there at 99 %... Looks like we don't have to reboot too often.
