Guest VM was removed from inventory but can't delet .vmdk files...

I have one guest that was removed from inventory but I cn not delete the .vmdk files. I get "The device is busy" when trying to delete from the physical console (not remote console). I am positive I log in as root. I just need to delete everything as well as thr directory.

Any ideas?

Thanks

it's locked for some reason, you could check with lsof if some process is still accessing the file. lsof | grep "vm-name" should provide you with a list.

That came up empty. Strangely I ran the same command against a running VM and it to came up empty.

I ran the command several times and still empty.

Anything else to try?
