Guest OS stops comunication. ESX 3.0

I have an ESX 3.0 with 2 VM (W2K3 Enterprise). Sometimes VMs stop responding to ethernet requests but I can connect to console via Infrastructure client. If I disable the VM's network card and enable it again it begins working. The problem appears on both VMs not necessarily on same time.

What can be wrong?

Thanks in advance

What is your network configuration like (vswitches, nics)? Are you using VLAN tagging? Are these VM's new or conversions from physical?

Me physical server has 4 NICS but I only use one of them, without vswitches neither VLANs. Both VM are new installations.

fyi... I've moved this thread to the ESX3 forum.

You have to have at least one vswitch for ESX to work. Post the output of the esxcfg-vswitch -l and esxcfg-nics -l commands from the service console
