Global File Exclusions with VCB?

Wondering if it's possible to exclude file types in VCB backups? Tried to put an exclusion for *.pst into a job but it seems to be backing it up.

Am backing up using file level VCB backups and path to the file type is 7 directories deep.

Have it in the job as below yet it backs it up each time.

\\*\*\*\*\*\*.pst /SUBDIR /EXCLUDE.

Maybe I'm trying something that's not possible?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forums!

The VCB file level function will just mount the VM file system so that your backup software can perform the backup. You would need to specify the exclusions within your backup software. You did not indicate what backup software you are running. If you reply back with that info, someone should be able to assist.
