Following Error message in vmkwarning after max mounts reached

Our VMware server went off line. I logged into the consol and there were a lot of errors about the max number of mounts being reached. I rebooted the server It came back on line and all was good.

When I looked at the /var/log/vmkwarning log it gave me

Oct 9 12:38:55 venus vmkernel: 1:03:42:03.279 cpu0:1024)VMNIX: WARNING: VmkDev: 971: failed dsk=vmhba1:2:10:0 status=0xbad0004.

The server has been fine for a few days but this has happened twice now and the machine is unreliable. Any suggestions on this

I found this in the release notes for ESX 3.0.2

http://www.vmware.com/support/vi3/doc/releasenotes_esx302.html

which pointed this KB article "Error Message, "EXT2-fs warning: maximal mount count reached, running e2fsck is recommended" (KB 6822209)"

Unfortunately, that appears to unavailable at the moment... Smiley Sad

But it sounds like a known issue...
