We have a ESX server with a demo license. We installed a fiber card (and made sure it was on the supported list). It's the QLogic 2460.
ESX detects the card, and in VirtualCenter under the host configuration, storage adapters, I see the card and the WWPN.
However my SAN admin is telling me that the "fiber switch doesn't see the host". He tells me that I should check the fiber card driver properties. On Sun/Linux systems we've had to adjust properties of the fiber driver, for example to make sure it's not use fcal.
Is there anything I should need to configure on the card, and if so, where do I do that? He tells me he needs to view the "fiber driver properties" I couldn't find anything in the VMware Fibre Channel SAN Configuration Guide.
