Failed to revert to a snapshot with error ''Operation failed because file already exists'

I always get the following error when try to revert to any snapshot of a VM.

Operation failed because file already exists

I have compared it with other VMs in Datastore Browser and found there are some additional files such as VM01.tempRevert.vmsd and VM01-000012-delta.vmdk. I tried to remove them but say I don't have permission to do it. Can I directly remove these files from Datastore Browser for fixing the problem? if not so, is there any way to fix it?

Hello levinpeng,

The vmdk file corresponding to this delta file must be missing. This can be the reason for this error. Please refer the KB below for further details.
