Emulex LP1150 queue_depth

I have a new DL385 with two Emulex lp1150 HBA. Previously I had Qlogic cards and I used to set the Queue depth to 64 for these cards. Do I need to change the queue depth on the Emulex cards for ESX 3.01?

What Storage system are you connected to? EMC for example published a document outlining how to configure Emulex and QLogic HBAs when connecting to a storage system. Ironically, this document states to keep Emulex settings default. The VMware SAN Configuration Guide offers some guidance. Are you experiencing any issues? Queue depth helps you when you may be bandwidth constrained from a Fiber port perspective on your server.

We are using 3PAR storage. We aren't experiencing any problems at the moment but I just wanted to set it up with the correct recommendations from the beginning.

There are 4 hosts, 2 x 2.6GHZ, 8 GB Ram

Each host currently holds 4 VMs

Exchange for 50 users x 2, AD x2, SQL, RSA, LCS,SMS,ISA x 2.

We are using Fixed multipathing.
