My admin left our company w/o providing passwords. We were forced to do a Repair installation on our ESXi servers. After doing the repair, the vmfs do not show up on the server. However, when you go to Configuration | Storage | and click on datastore1, all of the folders for the virtual machines are there.
How do I get them back under control of the hypervisor ?
Aer you able to enter on each folder and see the vmdk and vmx files? If yes, right click the vmx files and choose "add to inventory".

I tried running SLAX, john the ripper in effort of cracking the password but wont even do nothing, it just keeps going into the boot process, I tried running ESX classic with no hope at all., i just want to preserve my data on there... then i can do a fresh install of ESXI 4.1 I NEED HELP.
