ESXi Repair installation and VMFS recovery

My admin left our company w/o providing passwords. We were forced to do a Repair installation on our ESXi servers. After doing the repair, the vmfs do not show up on the server. However, when you go to Configuration | Storage | and click on datastore1, all of the folders for the virtual machines are there.

How do I get them back under control of the hypervisor ?

Aer you able to enter on each folder and see the vmdk and vmx files? If yes, right click the vmx files and choose "add to inventory".

Im running ESXI 4.1, the old IT guy messed around with the Password on VMware, Now Vmware wont boot up completely, its gets to 95% loading, then goes into a black screen with error (PANIC: Error while reading file: -5, oem.tgz) thats the error im getting. I tried running SLAX, john the ripper in effort of cracking the password but wont even do nothing, it just keeps going into the boot process, I tried running ESX classic with no hope at all., i just want to preserve my data on there... then i can do a fresh install of ESXI 4.1 I NEED HELP. FAST...

Thanks,

J.
