ESX host disconnected - VMs powered on...

I have one of my hosts within our cluster that is disconnected but most of the VMs are up and running.  I cant SSH over to the host nor can I change anything on the VMs from vCenter.

What are my options?

Is there a way to move over the VMs to another host (like a seize option)?

This is freaky!

Hi

Does host respond to ping ?

Are you able  conenct to host via VI client directly?

Do you have physical access to host ?

Can you provide more infor about you netowrk configuration on ESX such as How many NICs you have attached to Service console, are those NICs shared with other traffic such as VM or storage ?

have you checked physical connection to management NICs ?

Hi

well, in that case with someone on site you will quickly find out what is going on, for me looks like HW problem,

you could check physical network port status on switch (if switch is managable) - it might give you useful info about problem or check system over remote management interface (iLO, DRAC, RSA) if server supports it

Ok, seems like we have a disk failure and network switch is down.

Guess we have our work cut out for us.

Thanks for all the help
