Recently I've noticed that almost on the hour (not every hour - seems to happen when the activity is quite uniformed) there are inverse spikes in the ESX performance graphs for both CPU and memory (in fact, sometimes in memory there are bigger inverse spikes on the hour and smaller ones on the half hour - again, not for every hour). The spikes on the hour are the same size as are the spikes on the half hour.
Does anyone have any idea what these inverse spikes are?
