ESX and modem

hello everybody;

Can anyone help me to know if ESX has a drivers to support modem. Can we connect ESX with multiple modems from defferent provider???

Is not possible.

But if your modem has a serial interface and your serial port are recognized by ESX you can attacch some modems to different VMs.

YES you can!

I've did it but you need a little tweek.

Use Digiports! You connect your modems to it, then you connect to the Digi by TCP/IP. Installing the Digi drivers end modem drivers on the VM will make it work. VM thinks it has local modem.

I am running 2 fax VM servers for 8 months now and it works like a charm!

And if its a serial modem use "minicom" to configure them.
