ESX and USB support.

Hi,

One of my VM's is about to have it's application upgraded. Problem is this software now requires a USB dongle for licensing.

I've read that VMware's supported method is to use AnywhereUSB. Has anyone had experience with this, or got anymore solutions worth trying?

Thanks

Mike.

Hello.

Here is the official kb article about support for these devices. The Digi AnywhereUSB device works very well.

Good Luck!

Digi AnywereUSB works really well but with 1 downside. You can only have the unit attache to 1 VM at a time. We use 1 that has 4 USB ports so the other 3are wasted. I think you can get another device that works more like a USB server for multiple VM to connect too. Think it's called Keyspan.

Cheers

Thanks for your replies. I'm looking into both solutions.

Mike.
