Has anyone encountered a problem where an ESX stops responding completely. console is frozen completly and cannot gain access to command line. Physical network interfaces on the esx are flooding the network with traffic. unfortunately cannot determine what traffic was being sent as it as this caused our management switch and firewall to stop responding. As soon as we unplugged the nics from the network the switch and firewall went back to normal. Only solution was to power cycle the esx and then everything returned to normal.
