ESX 3.5 under ESX 4.1

Hi

I'm trying to run an ESX 3.5 VM under 4.1. I've got it installed and booted ok but the networking doesn't seem to work. The VM is using e1000 nic and i know network setup is correct because if i install ESXi4.1 into same VM with same config (ie same IP) I can ping it ok. I've set vSwitch to promiscuous mode which i think used to be a requirement but it made no difference. i've searched forums and web but can't find anythign direclty related to this.

Is there anything additional required to get this working?

thanks

I haven't tried on vSphere but xtravirt has a whitepaper on installing on Workstation.

I just came across this blog post explaining how to run ESX on vSphere.
