Hello,

i have installed ESX 3.5 u3 on X3650 with Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5430 2.66 GHz/1333 MHz (12 MB L2 cache).

After reboot vmkernel can not starten.

Have anyone any ideas?

Are there any errors ? Besides the obvious vmkernel not loading, what is the exact error ?

We'll need a bit more info here because there could be several reasons why this is happening.

yes there are many errors.

Where can i read them? Where are the log-files?

Well ... If you can get to them you can find vmkernel errors and such in these places:

Vmkernel - /var/log/vmkernel

Vmkernel Warnings - /var/log/vmkwarning

Vmkernel Summary - /var/log/vmksummary

Otherwise you could take a picture of the screen showing the errors ... You could also check out the VMware Knowledge Base for any solutions.
