I am installing VM on an IBM hs21 blade 8853 and if I use an address in the management vlan for the client and VM they work just fine. I want to add another VLAN for the VM though but if I modify the address it doesn't work. I'm not using VLAN 1. We created VLAn 28 for mgmt. I have VLAN 30 for the first VM. There are trunks to the internal 3012 Cisco switch and to the core. All trunking and happy. If I trunk to the blade, all communication stops but the port shows trunking is happening using dot1q. How do we configure the vm client to see the other VLANs if you don't trunk? I have created the VM network without luck. Any ideas?
