ESX 3.5 and HP VMM issues causing vCenter disconnects

Has anyone seen any issues using the HP VMM agent and issues with vCenter? I have seen disconnects using the HP VMM agent and vCenter disconnects with the Physical hosts.

Hello,

Check to see if there are any defunct or zombie processes on your ESX host. HP VMM may cause these when it runs through its stuff. What version of HP VMM are you using?

That sounds like an issue we have. Hosts disconnecting for no reason and re-connecting almost immediately. I have just this morning uninstalled the VMM agents on all our ESX 3.5 hosts. The VMM agents were causing a file lock on a 2TB RDM.

It will be interesting to see if this also solves our disconnect issue.

There has been talks with the vendor that the VMM agent is causing the issues for us, we removed the agent and it works fine. We have no plans to re-instal it at this time.
