Howdy folks,
I know I read this before, but can't seem to find the same thread again. I have some older ESX boxes we just rebuilt to 3.5. They have Qlogic 2343 HBA's in them, and 3.5 installs drivers to support 2/4gb SAN links. However most of these boxes are still connected to some older 1gb ports. Don't I need to roll back the drivers for those that are running on 1GB links?
Hopefully I'm wrong, and I misread something recently, but i could swear i read something about this last week in the communities here.
Help and/or links would be greatly appreciated.
no you dont need to roll back the drivers . Just think it along the same lines as with SCSI drives they will always fall back to the lowest performing disk on the bus
