ESX 3.5 HBa targets

Anyone seen this problem

We have 16 Proliant 465c G1 in a cluster connected to 1 EVA8000 and 2 EVA8100

When I look in configuration tab under "Storage adapter" and click on the hba's (QLA2432) I see this:

hba0 12 target

hba1 10 target

on another server

hba0 12 target

hba1 6 target

hba0 10 target

hba1 5 target

and so on

If I boot the server and look in HBA bios I see 12+12 target??

Strange!!

Yes, strange. Do the missing targets appear when you do a rescan ?

Well, you have QLogic adapters, so you need to wait a bit and do a second rescan to see the results, because the rescan runs asynchronously.

Yes, even efter rescan or reboot.

I can see all the 84 LUNs but the some targets are missing. Should be 12+12

We are using EVA with active/active and fixed path policy
