ESX 3.0.2 Messages on Console

Hi there,

since I have upgraded to Version 3.0.2 I have various ESX-Servers with the following messages on the Console:

esxservername login: portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out

portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out

lockd_up: makesock failed, error=-5

portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out

What does this mean? Is this a serious Issue?

It looks like a NFS issue, do you use NFS storage.

Maybe you can try to check if portmap is running....run /etc/init.d/portmap status
