I am running ESX 3.0.1 and a Windows 2003 SP2 VM using a HP Ultrium 3 tape drive and a LSI Logic SCSI card. I am trying to use NTBackup to backup the VM but everytime I format the tape it resets in the Removable Storage within seconds or minutes. Has anyone encountered this same issue and hopefully found a solution? This does not happen when running the same Windows 2003 SP2 VM's on an ESX 2.5.x platform.
