Do help

i am trying to learn Vmware .so i installed a workstation,created 2 esx.have installed a VI client to access both the esx individually and work on them.now i want to create a cluster with the esx to deepen my knowledge of Vmware....so what do i got to have an esxi or vsphere.mine is jst for trial and learning purpose.please do suggest Documents and provide your suggestions as of what i a m suppoed to do please.....

Hi beginner 🙂

  1. Install DNS server and vCenter server
  2. connect servers to vCenter
  3. now you have to provide shared storage for both servers
    use openfiler iSCSI appliance http://www.openfiler.com/community/download
  4. configure it http://xtravirt.com/how-to-configure-openfiler-iscsi-storage-for-vmware-esx-4
  5. configure netowrking on your both ESXi servers ( vMotion, VM network)
  6. enable HA and DRS
  7. create VM
  8. DONE 🙂

P.S you will have to read documentation anyway, no chance to avoid reading it Smiley Happy

thanks for the rep...the thing is that i am using my laptop to do all this things....so whn i downloded the vsphere 5 full set up and tried installing it said that my processor type is not supported...i created a windows 2003 enterprise edition VM and tried installing the vsphere 5 in it..these are the respective screen shots...seriously any idea how can i work around it
