Dell PowerEdge 2850 and ESX 3.0.2

I have mostly worked with ESX on HP Servers. Are their any mgt agents or anything that should be installed on a Dell PowerEdge 2850 running ESX 3.0.2? I looked at their downloads page but I don't see any option for the ESX operating system like HP has?

Hi

For Dell Poweredge server install the Dell Openmanage server administrator which will install its management agent to monitor the server hardware , storage, IPMI and the DRAC functionalities. It also has other features.

You can download the Dell Open manage for Red Hat Linux Enterprise 3 and install the same. Go to google and type the keyword as Install Dell Open Manage software in VMware ESX environment. This will open a PDF. Read the same and it should solve your question

Here is the link to download the latest version of the Dell Openmanage agents. These are similiar to the HP agents for the Hosts.

Here is the link how to install the agents on the ESX Host. This is a little out dated but it does the same thing.
