Dell PE840, Locking up randomly with PCPU error

Hey all,

I have serveral Dell PE 840's (I know they're not offically supported) at a few locations, that are running ESXi in a test enviroment. About three of them, out of a totally of about 8, from time to time will go into the "Purple Screen of Death" At this point, I can not use VIC, ping to it, or SSH. When at the console, I see:

"PCPU 0 is not responding - Cannot Proceed"

and

"PCPU 0 didn't have a heartbeat for *** seconds may be locked up.

The only way to recover is a hard reset. I have just updated to the latest release this weekend - 169697, hoping that this might resolve the issue, it has not. All Boxes are plugged into a UPS, but I'm not 100% sure on the condition. I thought I'd throw that out if it might have been an issue. This is a proof of concept for a larger deployment, but I need to get these rock steady before moving ahead. Some of the boxes are, but I need to get these 3 fixed.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you installed the last Dell firmware upgrade?

After spending about a week trying to chase this down, I think it may have been an issue in update 4... I went back to 3, and so far so good... I want to let them run a few weeks before saying anything definite...
