Dell CX300

Ok im a bit confused I have a CX300 installed now according to the vi3_san_guide the system is active\passive. But from what I can see in Navisphere6 its Active\Active with two storage processors controlling 3 LUNS each.

At the moment MRU is being used, but if the SAN is active\active suely this should be set to fixed ? I see no mention of active \active in the vi3_san_guide , can anyone comment on this?

The cx300 is definately active/passive so I can't see how you have two SPs controlling the same LUN. Try looking at your trespassed LUNS....tools>trespassed LUNS status.

You are correct, this should be set to most recently used

I assume i have understood your question properly.

LUN can be owned only by a single SP, we can have multiple path set to access it.

You can check which SP owns that lun by viewing the properties of the LUN in the LUN folder. You can change the ownership or u can check Auto assignment option.

I have this sorted now, its active passive, I was being told something different by Dell !

So MRU is correct..
