Default block size change

Hi,

Been trying to convert with Platespin but it kept erroring with insufficent disk space, i have 100GB spare on a 500gb lun. I tried created a blank VM with the same sized of 400 gig and its the default block size in place.

1. I know its gona be a no but can this be changed without formatting?

2. Are there any solutions for creating larger than 256GB vmdks?

not without reformatting the LUN

ditto, what if you create two 250GB drives and then through the OS join them together by extending the first disk with the second disk.

Dont really wana do that its messy. Thanks guys...i may have enough time to resolve this by Tuesday (public holiday here )
