Creating repository and depot (have read the docs but still got stuck)

Hi y'all,

i want to create a repository with depots to install a few patches on an ESX 3.5.

From what I've been reading in the according docs (patch management guide) I've created an empty webfolder to have a repository. Now a subfolder that comtains the depot, but this depot would need two files, the contents.xml and the contents.xml.sig.....where do i get this files from ?

I know they are part of bundles, but these bundels again would just be subfolders of the depot.....pls. help me out .

Thanks in advance !

Ok, answered it myself. I downloaded the full contents.xml (it is referenced somewhere in this forum) and edited it. As contents.xml.sig would no more be valid, i use esxupdate with the --nosigcheck flag. And here i go, it works....

Best wishes,
