Creating a Citrix server

i want to create a guest system that will run some citrix applications

is there anything i need to do, or is it just the same as building a normal server and then publish the citrix apps to that instance

cheers

hi,

we have recently built & p2v'd citrix servers. This is not a bad starting point. &

Only thing is that this says use 2 cpu. Lots of people say stick with 1 vcpu. scale out not up. Also install vmtools but disable mem ballooning & shared folders.

dont expect to get more than 15/20 users depending on apps installed etc.

hope this helps

Should be no different than a physical implementation of a Citrix system. You probably want to give it some horsepower and consider resource share values and placement. Check it out under test load before releasing in the wild.

Hello!

We install'd Presentation server 4.0 and get error with VMware tools during installation.

We removed vmware tools, installed Citrix P.S. 4. and thats ok.

During instalation of 4.5, we did not get any problems
