Creating Another Datastore in ESX 3.5

Hi,

I am using ESX 3.5 server.

It has 1.7 TB storage, I used it all, Now I want to create another datastore on 1 TB USB HDD.

Will it allow me to create data store on USB disk? if no, then what is other option?

No, you can't use a USB disk.

You need to use a device connected to a supported adapter or use NAS/iSCSI storage.

Hi

USB is not supported in any ESX version yet. I have heard that ESX4update1 maybe will have this support.... Looking forward to that.
