Hello, I am trying to create a VM from a physycal Pc with a ubuntu 5.1.
I have a ESX 3.5 update that is mounting a NFS storage unit.
My problem is that when I try to convert the machine, vmware converter dont show me
the NFS storage device ... it show me just local storage.
Does is not possible to create a VM from converter to a ESX 3.5 NFS storage unit?
Thanks a lot
Can you create a new virtual machine and choose the NFS storage as its datastore?

Yes, I can do it
The answer to your question is "Yes, It is possible to create a VM from converter to a ESX 3.5 NFS storage unit."
At the ESX host (through VI client or console) are you able to see the NFS datastore? can you browse it and write files to it?

Yes, I can see NFS datastore with VI, and ..even I have migrate and clone some VM to the NFS datastore ..but when I launch converter and it connect with the ESX, it dont show me the NFS datastore...
Strange. In my environment I can see NFS datastore while doing P2V stuff. What version of VMware converter are you using? Download latest one from VMware website.
