Convert to Template

I am having trouble with cloning a VM to a template. The VM has multiple 2 VMDK files, one snapshot, and 3 Raw mapped LUN's. I am thinking it will work if I remove the snapshot or will I only be able to copy the VMDK files?

Hi,

If you are running ESX 3.5 U3, then you can convert a VM to template if you have snapshots and a RAW mapped device (virtual)

I'm not sure what happens if you clone to template and your have a RAW device (virtual), will it convertt to a VMDK file?

We are running ESX 3.5 U3. My concern is what happens to the RAW mapped devices. The snapshots can be deleted. The mapped RAW Luns are in virtual compatability mode.
