Console at 100% CPU

Hi!

I do have a little problem. on one of my esx servers, the "console" task runs at 100%, even after a restart to console goes to 100% again. ist there a way view exactly whats causing the 100%? i've attached a picture from esxtop.

Hi,

Check your log files, there's a chance you are having problems, like for example a hardware issue.

The main log file to check is /var/log/messages but you can also check these from the Virtual Infrastructure Client.

thx, but i haven't found anything in the logs. anyway i found the problem. i observed, that after i rebooted the machine, the other esx had the 100% problem. so it "moved" from one to the other. i thought that there could be a problem with ha. i did reconfigure ha on the server with the 100% problem and after the task was finished, everything went back to normal.
