Connecting GIGA Nic to 100Mb Cisco switch

Hello,

I've broadcom bcm5704s gigabit nic in my esx host. I need to connect it to 100 Mb/s switch. No other option. State is disconnected.

I cannot / not know how to change adapter speed / duplex to something else than 1000 full, half or auto.

Any ideas

Hello stozka,

you can specify the speed and duplex setting with the following command at the service console :

example for vmnic2:

esxcfg-nics -s 100 -d full vmnic2
