Confused about Jumbo Frames

I am a little confused about jumbo frames and was hoping I might see if some one can in the blanks for me.

With 3.5 Jumbo frames are supported on the NICs for traffic. I understand they are not supported by the VMware software iSCSI side of things...

What about Hardware initiators? We are running 2 QLogic iSCSI HBAs in our systems that support jumbo frames on those devices. Can we use them there or is that still part of the iSCSI limitation?

If you were using for example the MS ISCSI initiator in the guest OS with a standard NIC you might want to use jumbos, this method outperforms the VMWare software initiator anyhow,

If you use ISCSI HBAs, you dont have to worry about jumbos etc, the ethernet side of the connectivity is pretty much transparent to VI3, as far as I understand it.
