Commit Snapshot?

I am a user of MS's Virtual Server and I am quite new to VMWare. I just wanted to ask regarding snapshot. We have ESX 3.5 standard edition and just wanted to know how can I commit or merge (or whatever you call it) the specific snapshot that I made to the actual disk? Hope someone can post document on how to do this.

Welcome to the forums - it is counter intuitive but to commit a snapshot you need to delete it - from the system administrationr guide -

Delete commits the snapshot data to the parent and then removes the selected snapshot. Delete All commits all the immediate snapshots before the You are here current state to the base disk and removes all existing snapshots for that virtual machine.

How do you proceed to take the snapshot ?

If you've done it via the VI Client, simply go to the snapshot manager and chose delete all.
