Clustering network setup

Hi,

I am running 2 ESX 3.5 hosts with 6 NIC's installed. I am not running VMotion. I have one NIC on each host being used for the service console and the other 5 NIC's are teamed on the VM port group. I am about to setup box to box clustering. I will be running 3 clusters SQL, Exch and file. Each cluster will have two nodes, one on each host.

My question is about the VM's private\public NIC configuration.

I'm guessing I will have to setup a new VM port group and move one of my NIC's out of the team and place it in the new VM port group. I will do this on both hosts. Each VM node will have one VNIC attached to the VM port group where the NIC team is, this will be the public network. Each VM node will have a second VNIC which will be attatched to the second VM port group and this will be for the private network (heartbeat).

Can someone either confirm this is the correct or assist me with where I'm going wrong.

Thanks
