Cluster/HA for Update Manager

I am working on a project where there is a requirement that Update Manager is either Clustered or Highly Available. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be achieved?

From what I have googled it does not look like you can cluster Update Manager, is this correct?

If you cannot cluster Update Manager is there a way to make it highly available? (It is going to be on a physical server so cannot be VMware HA)

My VirtualCenter instance is going to be geographically cluster across multiple sites, so ideally I am looking at a solution that will allow Update Manager to fail over between these sites.

Any ideas or solutions appreciated.

I'm not even sure whether Update Manager is Cluster Aware or Compatible. I would take a look at GeoCluster (by DoubleTake) to see if this will help you with HA. I haven't looked into it, since we don't have a requrement for Update Manager to be HA.

We are looking at 3rd party products like Double-Take and Vertias Cluster Servers, however if you cannot cluster Update Manager they will not be of any use.
