Hi All,
I have changed esx 3.5 root password and it didnt not affect any services....

Hello,
Moved to ESX 3.5 forum.
Changing the root password does not affect anything because the root password is not cached anywhere. The vpxuser password on the other hand is cached within the vCenter Server and changing that would affect how things appear in vCenter. You would most likely have to reconnect.

it would not effect any services on the ESX server.
But if you do run remote scripts or tasks on that ESX server which store the root password, you might wanna edit those scripts.
Hope this helps!!
