Changing Download location of Patches

Good morning I was wondering if there was a way to change the location where Update Manager downloads the patches to the VC? Update Manager defaults to the C Drive (like any program) during installation. Should I uninstall UM and re-install it pointing to a new drive?

Thank you,

From what I understand looking at other posts that is what you have to do. I have searched the registry and config files in the dir, but I couldn't find anything.... It would be a good option to include in the next release...

Thank you, I appreciate the quick response. That was what I was concluding but wanted a 2nd opinion.

Thank you again!

Edit C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Update Manager\vci-integrity.xml

Look for

<!-- location of server data -->

<patchStore>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Update Manager\Data\</patchStore> <!-- . -->

Thanks

<namespace>"/vci/hostupdates"</namespace>

<path>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Update Manager\Data\</path>
