I have changed the hostname of a few my ESX servers since I did the original install. The splash screen is not updating automatically however. Does anyone know how I could update this to reflect the current hostname and IP address?
You might want to check the file /etc/hosts to see if that's correct. Here's the KB article for changing the IP address/hostname -

I changed the name through the VI GUI. the hosts file reflects the proper name.
Have you rebooted since the change?
